What is this? I see it as an old coin or token. I see it as an item of extreme historical value. Okay, I also see it as a cool ball mark too. It's about 3.5cm at it's widest point. Do you recognize it. Any hints. Does it deserve more respect than I give it?

I went into a coin shop today. The fellow said this is likely made out of lead with some kind of plating. As for the design he said it looks like a representation (he didn't use the word fake) of perhaps a Spanish Galleon, maybe. I learned little and confirmed lots. It would appear my original use as a pocket toy and ball maker was as good a use as any. :)
